Advocacy
Advocating for each child and young person is one of the most meaningful parts of this work. Every service offered at this practice, whether therapy, neuropsychological evaluation, consultation, or school observation, is carried out with a commitment to ensuring that each child's needs are recognized, their rights are protected, and the right support is in place.
Advocacy takes many forms. This includes collaborating with therapy and educational team members, developing Section 504 plans, participating in IEP meetings, joining school conferences, testifying in impartial hearings, and working alongside educational attorneys when needed. No matter the setting or the stage, the goal is the same: to make sure every child has access to the services and interventions that will allow them to thrive.
Families are supported closely through every step of this process, from early intervention during the infant and toddler years all the way through high school, college, and graduate school. Navigating the systems and structures that determine a child's educational experience can be complex and at times overwhelming. Having an experienced, committed advocate in your corner makes a meaningful difference.
